SAFETY QUOTE OF THE MONTH
“Your Best Tool Is Attention—Use It Before The Jackhammer Starts.”
SAFETY TIP OF THE MONTH | PROJECT UPDATES |
As the weather cools down and daylight hours get shorter, visibility becomes one of our biggest safety challenges on the job. Morning dew, wet leaves, and early sunsets can all create slippery conditions and reduce how well drivers and operators can see workers on site. Make sure you’re always wearing your high-visibility vest, especially during early morning setups and late-day cleanups. Keep walkways, ramps, and work zones clear of debris and standing water, and never rush through wet or uneven ground. Taking a few extra seconds to maintain footing and visibility can prevent serious injuries and keep everyone safe. | This month, crews made strong progress on both concrete and asphalt operations across multiple sites. The team focused on forming and pouring new curbs, sidewalks, and ADA ramps while also completing asphalt repairs and patch work to restore road surfaces. Coordination between the concrete and paving crews was excellent, ensuring smooth transitions between phases of work and minimizing downtime. All crews maintained their PPE (high-visibility vests, safety glasses, and ear protection), while operating around heavy equipment. These combined efforts have improved the overall quality, safety, and appearance of the company as a whole. |
SAFETY HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH | GIFT CARD WINNERS |
This month, one of the biggest safety wins has been the consistent use of proper PPE across both the concrete and asphalt crews. From safety glasses and earplugs to gloves and high-visibility vests, almost every team member showed strong commitment to working safely and setting the right example for others. It was especially good to see crews maintaining their gear even during high-noise activities like milling, jackhammering, and saw cutting. There is still room for improvement but as we do this level of awareness and teamwork not only reduces risk but also strengthens our overall safety culture on every job site.
| Noberto Perez has shown great improvement in his overall PPE compliance and safety awareness. He consistently wears his high-visibility vest, safety glasses, gloves, and earplugs while performing his tasks. Noberto’s dedication to following company safety standards reflects his growth and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Elias Lucero continues to demonstrate excellent safety habits on every job site. He always ensures that he’s properly equipped with his high-visibility vest, earplugs, safety glasses, and gloves — especially when cutting or jackhammering. Elias also goes above and beyond by keeping backup PPE on hand. |
