SAFETY QUOTE OF THE MONTH
“Safety Doesn’t Slow The Job Down — It Keeps The Job Going”
SAFETY TIP OF THE MONTH | PROJECT UPDATES |
One of the simplest ways to prevent accidents on the job is to make sure you’re visible at all times. Between moving equipment, trucks backing up, low light, and busy roadways, being seen can literally save your life. Your high-visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE aren’t just “company rules” – they’re your first line of defense.
| - Completion of Curbs and Sidewalks, Milling and Paving phases on Yawpo Avenue and surrounding streets
- Successful construction of new walking paths in Clifton parks
- High-quality stamped concrete installations
- Adaptation to colder weather and muddy job-site conditions |
SAFETY HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH | GIFT CARD WINNERS |
While equipment and trucks were moving through tight work zones, one of the operators exercised excellent awareness by stopping immediately when he noticed a laborer entering a potential blind spot. His quick reaction, combined with the laborer’s eye contact and hand signals, prevented what could have been a serious backing incident. This moment reinforces how critical communication and visibility are around active machinery. | Pedro Caguana for his strong commitment to safe work practices and professionalism on every DSM job site. Pedro showed excellent safety discipline while cutting the expansion joints. He approached the task with focus and control and made sure to protect himself properly by wearing earmuff-style hearing protection, safety glasses, work gloves, and a dust mask. His preparation and attention to detail helped maintain a clean, controlled, and safe work zone for everyone nearby. |
